Well I Thought It Couldn't Get Worse...

And I was wrong... Now we're in a heap of trouble...the truck is sold, and another vehicle was bought that turned out to be worth about a quarter what was paid for it because the engine completely failed and it needs new tires and a mass of other problems. So right now it'll take $1500 to fix a $1300 vehicle....To make matters worse we still haven't heard anything about Mikey's Oklahoma License for EMT so still no new job, I just had a mental breakdown over the weekend (and then I get hit with this?!), I'm trying to keep caught up with school, and, with all the money troubles and the fact that I just quit my job, money will be even tighter. So needless to say please pray for us, pray for guidance, for money issues to be solved, and for help! On a lighter note...we got the chance to rent "The Princess and the Frog" over the weekend. I liked it except for the voodoo part, I was a little creeped out by it so I could see that it might seem scary to small children. I did like, on the other hand, that it actually showed the prince and princess getting married and afterwards they built a life for themselves based on hard work, dreams, and love. Also, I did get enrolled for the summer and fall semesters, although I have to say I'm a little scared of the fall schedule...I have Chemistry, Freshman Orientation, Appreciation of Art, English Comp 2 and College Algebra (the last 3 I have online, and English is a fast track course). So I go from procrastinating in my 3 classes (9 hours) now to not having the chance in my 5 classes (14 hours). I better get in the habit now! But I feel good about it, it's a challenge and it'll feel like I'm actually getting somewhere in my schooling :) O and I started a new book! "Red" it's in a series from the author Ted Dekker. The first book was really good and I finished it pretty quickly, and seeing as how I usually have no extra time it means it was worth putting things off for. And now the next is proving to be just as good! That's all for now, just had to get some things off my mind to make room for others!

I did it!

I quit my job! I got up the nerve to call my boss Monday and told her I would be leaving March 31st. Not quite 2 weeks notice but when I had decided to quit she was on vacation, I couldn't bring myself to do it then. Now I'll be able to go to school full time next semester and work only one job! Stress reduced at least! So after a year it's farewell again...I will miss the girls I worked with and some of the kids! Also, we're still waiting to hear back on Mikey's application for the Oklahoma EMT license...it's taking forever and making me a little bit more stressed about him getting this new job. But my husband isn't worried about it, he has confidence...and so shall I.

A few of my favorite things...

My o so handsome husband! Doesn't he look so thoughtful here?

How Aiden can sleep anywhere...This time he was in the bathroom watching a movie while I took a shower, I got out and found him like this! And he stayed like this for an hour and 15 minutes, with the light on! It was also his birthday :)

Aiden's sweet excited face :) He was pretty happy he got a cupcake.

And last (for now) is my cat! Or like Mikey calls him the dog...because he acts more like a dog than a cat!

P.S. This is the day he went to the doctor and got his first shot. I forgot last post to write about the doctor and our experience with her. She was only a first year resident so still pretty new to dealing with patients I guess because she wasn't the best. During all of her questioning and looking at my son she told me we needed to watch him for obesity and asked what he ate and how much! First of all this is the first time she's seen him, so she had no idea what a chunk he was before, second my child probably eats better than she does! Then she told us how to disipline him, how much tv he should watch, and other little prying tidbits. I was pretty irritated by the end of her invasive questioning. Then it came down to her physical evaluation...she was highly impatient and wouldn't let me do my job of calming down my child, she would talk over me to get him to stop crying and just as I was getting ahold of the situation she would give up! Plus she kept saying this doesn't hurt (which in our household we stay away from the negative words, "no" "don't" "not") so when she said "doesn't" he heard "does" so he cried harder! Then she was completely flabbergasted that we chose to hold off on giving Aiden shots until now, and she constantly asked if that was the only one he was getting that day almost searching for us to change our minds. And lastly she said he would get blood drawn to test for lead and iron (which we were completely okay with) and she forgot to order the tests to be done so we sat there for awhile before we finally just left! So now...we are finding a new doctor...Ok I think everything is caught up now.

Everyone is Healthy!

We're finally done with all the doctors visits this week! Tuesday went by a bit bumpy, we had the appointment when his normal naptime was. So needless to say it was a rough time with him crying practically the whole time. However, Mikey and I finally decided to get his very first vaccination ever! I was horribly nervous about it though. It went well and the best part is it's over! Now today my cat and dog went to get a checkup and their vaccinations also, setting me back a pretty penny. But they charmed everyone (just like Aiden did). :) Next it's Mikey's turn to go to the dentist just next week. So doctors galore! I'm so excited about what the future holds! Mikey is one step closer to applying for a new job! Not much going on but my life feels pretty busy...o and Happy Birthday to my best friend, Danya!

New Plan

I've decided I'm going to change up things around here. I'm cutting down my work load from 2 jobs to 1, I'm going to start standing up for myself, and focus on getting things done! I've been wanting to start blogging about my life and the adventures, trials, and joyous times so here it goes! To start things off...it's Spring Break and my only plans are doctor's appointments for the kiddo and the animals :) Exciting huh? I'm going to start taking more pictures (and hopefully getting better at it). And I'm going to start new routines at home to make my life more organized! Wish me luck! Until next time...
