I Think We're On the Mend

Aiden has been sick the past few days, which explains the lack of blogging (but no lack of material!).
It's that hacking-choking cough, running yet congested nose, and fever only at night kind of evil crap you can't seem to know the right medicine at the right time sick.

Aiden got to feel where the baby is and all he could say is..."Baabbyy." :) Then asks repeatedly to feel the baby some more.

Mikey and I got to go see Jeff Dunham, and the trombone guy, and the guitar guy. All were very funny, and by the end of it I was actually tired of laughing.

Mikey and I got new phones (iPhone 4 to be exact!). And Mikey has been seeing a new side of me, an eeek! saying girl and a competitive video game playing girl.

Aiden has been "listening" to the baby with Mikey's stethoscope, and informs me of where the baby is.

Aiden can now fully pedal his trike by himself!

Some cute things Aiden has been saying:
"Your my best friend!"
"How will the baby be born?" To which I answered when its ready, it'll be born.
"I'm going to be a big brother!" To his teachers :)
"I want a baby brother." "Well would a baby sister be okay too?" "When I'm done with baby brother, then I can have baby sister" after asking him if he wants a baby brother or baby sister.

I'm 17 1/2 weeks and can tell the baby is growing fast! And our ultrasound appointment is coming up fast (but not fast enough).

I'm getting more and more excited about cloth diapering this baby, and surprisingly Mikey is on board as well (once I told him how much money we can save, over $3000)!

My Wonderful Weekend : )

On Friday, Aiden and I had a little adventure AND got to hear the baby! I had an appointment and everything is going well, I gained the proper amount of weight (a little sad about that), the baby sounded good and I freaked out the midwife a little lol. The baby is apparently supposed to be half way up to my belly button...well when I laid down to hear the heartbeat the baby, it was right beside my belly button in a mound (making my stomach look horribly deformed lol). That's completely normal for me, she looked back and Aiden measured 6 cm more than normal in the beginning and 3cm the rest of the pregnancy!

Then we went to the mall and I got a new hoodie and pants at Victoria's Secret, which I felt a little guilty about thinking Mike would be upset with me. BUT he wasn't! All he said was that he liked them a lot and that I never spend money on myself, especially there, so it was ok! Which is true, he forces me to spend money there because even though I like the apparel they have, I won't spend that kind of money usually. I feel spoiled.

THEN I even got a massage on the only day off Mike had for a week! Again, I feel spoiled. :)

Saturday, we all woke up feeling not so rested but in good moods so out of the house we went! We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for the game, but the service was HORRIBLE! We got a broken table, got ignored, and my food came out wrong. Then we went to my mom's house (since we don't have cable) to finish watching the game where Aiden and I got a nap (since I only got 4 1/2 hours of sleep the night before). After hanging out there for a bit, I went to my Grandparents house and finished my scarf (finally)!

And that brings us to today....I have a group project to do and I hope to get some housecleaning done and of course go to church.

Upcoming: Pictures of the new scarf, a trip to the dairy barn, a date night to see Jeff Dunham (don't know who he is? Look him up, he's hilarious), and more wonderful playgroup days.

Comparisons

Between the last pregnancy and this one there is NOTHING in common!

Last time: Only one bout of morning sickness, only craving was grape snowcones but craved watching certain movies, ate cheese all the time, stomach grew big fast (they thought I was carrying twins), extremely easy pregnancy overall!

This time: Morning sickness, extra crazy, flying off the handle then bawling the next minute, been craving sweets nonstop, weird cravings including potatoes (weird for me) and about 15 different foods every hour, extra unmotivated but get into cooking moods, can't eat cheese very much, beef is revolting but honey ham is glorious, extra amounts of stretching ligament pains, stomach is still big and have checked for twins, started feeling movement at 13 weeks!

We won't be finding out the sex of the baby this go-around but we've already started hearing guesses, do you have any?? If so, comment here and share what you think Baby M will be!!
