Well it's December 31st again and as people get ready to go out and party hard, stay up til midnight, and kiss their sweetie, I'm trying to reflect on this past year...
Aiden successfully potty trained and weaned himself from breastfeeding in the same week.
He turned 2 a month later.
Mikey and I moved back in with each other, and while it was hard at first I feel like we've finally hit our groove.
Mikey got a new job, at the hospital, that he loves.
I quit all of my jobs and became a student/stay-at-home-wife/mom, one of my favorite days (of many).
Mikey started back to school in the fall.
I successfully finished a full time class load with all A's.
Mikey and I celebrated another birthday and anniversary. I'll write tomorrow about Mikey's birthday celebrations.
We decided to put it in God's hands on having another child.
Found out 4 weeks later I was pregnant.
Took Aiden to his first movie in the theater.
I got to know my extended family a little bit better.
My step-mom found out she had cancer, and then found out it was gone within 6 months.
We got an iPhone 4, our first big step into the tech world in a couple of years.
We've had paint fights, mud fights, and fights that actually got solved with no hurt feelings on either side.
We've met new friends and enjoyed time with old ones.
And best of all...we have even more to look forward to this next year as God brings it to us.
Including:
This new baby.
More school.
More birthday celebrations.
And trying to follow through with our New Year's resolutions.
(We usually don't do these but I feel like trying it out...Mine-reading the Bible everyday, Mikey's-working out more.)
Overall, I'd say it was a pretty good and sometimes crazy year. And next year will only be better and maybe a little more crazy. :)

Merry Christmas! (A Little Late...)
Well it's the day after Christmas, the stockings are empty and left discarded, there are empty ripped apart boxes strewn all over the house, and bits of wrapping paper sticking to everyone's feet.
But there are plenty of goodies to enjoy for the next few days, plenty of toys to enjoy for the next few months, and 3 smiling faces in my house. :)
My wonderful husband got me new Toms, the black high heels!!
I got him a gaming system, that he had no clue about!
And Aiden got TONS of toys, shocking I know. ;)
But best of all, we got to spend time with family and I realized the joy of giving over receiving.
I was more excited to give Mikey his gift than to see what he got me.
I hope all of you had an amazing Christmas also!
Next up...Mikey's birthday!!

My New (and Favorite) Loves
My boys.
The larger one has been extra sweet lately and is a good provider, o and he's kinda the love of my life. ;) The smaller one, well he's just too darn cute, very sweet ("I want to give you a hug when we get home."), and is more imaginative every day.

Hot Chocolate!!

Peaches. I'll eat a whole one of these a day...don't judge me.

While I realize I already talked about him, I couldn't help but share this super awesome shot of just how sweet he is.
P.S. Notice how many of them are about food...

A First for Aiden
Last week Mikey and I got the pleasure of taking Aiden to his very first movie in the theater.
This was taken right after, he had that happy-ending buzz going on. :) He was laughing and hugging me when they had that magical kiss at the end.(He did get a little worried about a suspenseful part in the middle, and kept saying "I want to go home!" I talked him through it and he thoroughly enjoyed the rest of it.)

And this last picture...was in the car with his huge box of popcorn. Later he asked me to hold it but "don't eat it all."
Lol, I love this kid.
(The movie was pretty cute too.)

We're Halfway There!!

Here's what 20 weeks and 3 days looks like!
Sorry about the bad quality photo, I can't seem to remember to have Mikey take a picture until he's asleep, lol.
We went to the Midwife on Friday and she said everything looked good and she laughed again about how when I lay down all you see is a ball where the baby is. :) And she said I did really good over Thanksgiving, instead of gaining the normal 4 lbs in 4 weeks, I only gained 3!!
I've been feeling more and more of those wonderfully familiar kicking sensations! I love this time, where they aren't strong enough to hurt but they are definitely there.
I have lots to post about so I'm going to start writing something everyday, so check back often!!

Here We Go...

Introducing Baby #2!!
Had our ultrasound yesterday, and everything looks great!
We were kinda irritated when we were waiting because our appointment was at 4pm and we didn't get back there until 5:45pm!! We were the very last people on the entire floor!
The baby is 13 oz and right on schedule so April 21, 2011 is still the due date.
We still don't know what this baby is going to be, but we did sneak a peek and we aren't telling what we saw! ;) But we did get to see a yawn and a big stretch, and maybe sucking its thumb!
So Cute!!
