Pictures as Promised
Here it is! Ahh the simple joys in life :) The green on the curtain matches the green on the counter and we have green and brown towels. Yes, that's right I'm coordinating!
This has actually caused Aiden to practically beg to take a shower! Before, he had to be talked into using the shower head!

Thank You Mom!
For putting my house back together. For making it feel more like a home. And for helping me from being overwhelmed and helping me like my house just a little bit more.
My mom came over yesterday and helped put up curtains and fix the bathtub and helped pick out (and pay for) some seemingly minor things that apparently people shouldn't be living without but we have been (like washcloths, a proper shower curtain, good curtains, and a shower rug).
Hmm...amazing how such little things can brighten up the entire house. I was actually excited to take a shower! Aiden was too because he found a "shower shark" which is actually a dolphin but whatever (I'm not going to fight with specifics if he's actually excited for and asks to take a shower). But it's a pretty cute little attachment of a kids shower head, so he's been asking to be able to use it. :)
I'll put up pictures as soon as I finish cleaning because I was and am completely wiped out.
Again, thank you Mom, you're the best ever!

Crappy Friday
I say crappy because I shouldn't say the other word that goes with Friday better...Today has been a day...I've had breakdowns after breakdowns and can't seem to get anything under control. I felt overwhelmed about the housework, my homework, Aiden being a demanding, rude 2 year old, never seeing my husband, the animals constantly needing attention, meals always having to be made, o and did I mention homework, finances being on my shoulders, among many others. Then to top it off Aiden refused to take a nap until he just fell asleep on the couch watch The Incredibles (not the most ideal way but whatever I was desperate) and now it took him an hour and a half to get to sleep tonight. Great. And of course I was being a horrible mom and person by yelling at him and throwing a hissy fit. Double Great, I just scarred my son. AND to top it off again...I was trying to do my math homework, which my lazy online teacher only has you read the book and do homework expecting you to know exactly how to do everything and how the computer wants you to put your answer, I got a 50% on my homework mainly because I just didn't understand and I gave up and was tired of crying over math. And I'm good at math, which pisses me off even more!! Ugh. So now I just want to quit school all together, because it's not like anybody very close to me is cheering me on/trying to help/acts like they even care I'm in school, but yet I get that encouragement from strangers...hmm funny... So I might be dropping my math class to take one next semester in a classroom (with a real teacher), but I really do just want to quit but I know I shouldn't because it's only the 4th week of school (it's only the 4th week of school?!?!). It's got to get better/easier right?
Therefore, tomorrow I'm getting a babysitter and doing my homework until I drop so I can have some relief without feeling guilty about falling behind on homework. So there.

Labor Day Weekend
On Saturday, we got a nice break from it all and got to go tailgating (a new experience for me) and our first football game of the season!! Which we won 65 to 17! We also realized just how old we felt, lol. We had planned on getting our 2nd night without Aiden (ever) under our belts but my sister messaged me and said "Woohoo, they are all still awake and without naps..." This was at 10:30pm mind you! So we decided to go rescue her :) (He fell asleep in the car lol).
Sunday...I served at church and went home and we all had a lazy day, which was nice and much needed! That evening we went and ate some good food and hung out with some good friends at a cookout.

And Monday, our day off of everything!! We went to ARBUCKLE WILDERNESS!! It was kind of a spur of the moment trip, which was awesome. And Aiden absolutely loved it! The second we pulled up to the camels he rolled down the window and stuck his food cup out like he was a pro (so cute). He tried to convince me that he wasn't afraid of the ostriches, even though I was. "Mommy, I can feed the ostrich!" (We did not, however) That morning I was trying to explain where we were going and I told him we would be feeding some donkeys and he kept saying, "Donkeys hungry? We need to feed donkeys?" The whole way he kept smiling and saying it was fun, and by the end he finally touched a yak's face, barely. Mikey tried to get him to ride a go-cart after the drive around and he was totally for it until it came time to get in the seat. He freaked and I had to come rescue him. :) When we started back, he was out before we hit the highway! Then we got stuck in traffic that took 1 hour to get 3 miles!

More pictures to follow.
Good Weekend.I found out just today that I have no sympathy. None whatsoever. My husband is sick. Girls you can relate I'm sure. He has a sore throat, congestion, and has developed a fever today. I can understand not feeling good with a fever, that's an excuse I can deal with. But really?? I've had a sore throat too but you don't see me missing class, sitting on the couch all day, complaining incessantly about not feeling well...Mind you, I'm "sick" pretty much every hour of every day (allergic to the dog makes a sinus infection year round). But some days are better than others where I can breathe through both nostrils :) But for goodness sake buck up and get through it. I have been reading a blog where the woman is 35 weeks pregnant with her 4th, and her husband had a running nose and he was reduced to a whining child asking for everything and couldn't lift a spoon to his mouth. I now understand. I love my husband, I just can't handle when he's sick.
