Yay For Good Appointments!

I just got home from one of the best midwife appointment I've had, other than seeing the baby that is. I had my glucose test today and I had to get the Rho Gam shot, which yeah those kinda sucked but not nearly as bad as I worked them up to be.

It started with having to drink the glucose junk...it smelled like Sprite and didn't taste that bad but it was just sooo sugary! Within 10 minutes the baby was going crazy ("Suuuggaarr!!") and 5 minutes later I felt so sick and shaky, that's what I hate about it.

Then I went back and stepped on the scale, the part I hate, and the numbers that popped up were the exact same as a month ago!!! I was really excited about it because I had gained a lot more than expected at the last appointment. :) So now I'm back on track! I've only gain 18 pounds this whole time!

Next, my midwife checked to see if Baby M was head down...and he/she is!! Then she measured me, which I always have measured super big like 3-5 cm bigger than "normal." This time...? 29cm! Right on track again! Glorious day!

I got my shot. Boo. But it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, my midwife did it and she was very nice about it. Then I went down to get my blood drawn (so I could finally eat!) and the girl at the check-in desk complimented me on my french tip nails, which I had done myself, free-handed! I was feeling pretty good by the time all was said and done. Plus the person drawing my blood did an awesome job, quick and painless!

Woo Hoo!! This pregnancy is back on my good side! And Baby M is starting to have a personality already, kicking at the midwife and all ;)
